What was Tribal Chic 2014?
Participants created a jewellery piece or fashion accessory inspired by the Tribal Chic 2014 theme. Entries drew from the colourful, geometric forms found in jewellery and accessory designs of ethnic and nomadic groups worldwide. We were looking for vibrant colours, strong, graphic shapes and creative beadwork.
Design pieces were made from a majority of CzechMates beads and submitted to the I-Beads contest website before the 19th October 2014 at midnight
How long did the contest run for?
Entries for the contest were accepted until the 19th October 2014 at midnight. The 20 best designs made the final and were announced on October 29th. The 20 finalists sent their design piece to I-Beads HQ. The three winners were announced on December 5th.
Who can enter?
All our contests is open to all designers from around the world, including professionals and non-professionals (entrants must be 18+).
What do they win?
The winner will receive a £350/€350 gift voucher to spend on any of I-Beads’ websites. The winner will also get a hamper of Starman, Beadalon and I-Beads products. The winner will be invited to become an I-Beads ambassador.

How were the winners chosen?
Designs were judged on a combination of technique, skill, passion and individuality and how well the designers interpreted the specified theme. A panel of jurors including Nichole Starman, Starman Beads, Meredith Roddy, Beadalon, Annabel Sykes, I-Beads and jewellery designer Clara Francis will select the final three winners. The 20 finalists were chosen by the I-Beads HQ team. Entries with the most likes on our Facebook competition page were taken into special consideration when selecting the 20 finalists.
This is the fifth worldwide competition organised by I-Beads.
