When we were approached by Linda, the mother of her little girl's charity - Treasure boxes, we were more than happy to support her cause! We have donated a lovely selection of beads to help her make bracelets for her charity shoe boxes.
The Treasure Boxes initiative was the idea of a six year old girl who wanted to do something to help others. For some time she has been making crystal and stone bracelets and selling these to friends but couldn't decide what to do with the money. After some careful thought our little girl, other wise known as the 'Treasure Fairy' decided that she would like to put together shoeboxes of toys for children who had none. The shoe boxes are donated to their local women's refuge to children who arrive and often have nothing at all. The refuge sees about 50 children go through their doors each year so the need is great.
